A Lazy Birthday Face;

Monday, 10 November 2014

Hello Lovelies;

I'm not one to take hours, or even 30 minutes doing my make up. I love a good old natural make up look, which is different from my thick black eyeliner during my high school days - I decided to go for a simple look for my 22nd Birthday - I'm a very happy chappy spending the day with my boys, and going to London to see the rest of my family ^.^

The NARS Tinted Moisturiser is the perfect 2 second base. You can apply it with your fingers and without any need of worrying about blending it out as it is my perfect. It just perfects your skin and gives dull skin a bit more of a glow - I also love that it has SPF30 so it's basically a 2-1 step. Next step is concealer. The Origins Plantscription Concealer is a hydrating concealer that's got medium coverage which is just enough for those dark circles. This is also 'Anti Ageing' those marketing words roped me in right away - Who doesn't want an under eye concealer that helps keep the wrinkles at bay? To add a bit of colour to my cheeks, the Josie Maran Agran Color Stick in Coral is perfect - I mean, look at that Rose Gold packaging! This goes on smoothly and is easily blended to give the right amount of colour to brighten your complexion - I always find Coral is the perfect shade perk up shade.

My perfect mascara is the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara. I wrote recently about my OCD, and to this point my eyelashes haven't fully grown back. This gives them length, volume and separates them perfectly. It's the only mascara that actually works with my growing lashes. It makes my eyes so much bigger and awake. For a quick brow fix the Benefit Gimmie Brow just fixes them in place, whilst the fibers help to fill in the sparse areas and make them look fuller. I'm skipping the lip balm step, in favour of the Korres Lip Butter in Plum - It's very hydrating and has a gorgeous plum colour that's perfect for Autumn. This is a very quick lip for the season and it's easy if you want to re-apply it whilst you're out and about.

This look takes less than 5 minutes to apply (depending if I get distracted or not). I hope you enjoyed this post, if you're like me and enjoy lazy make up. I am now going to go and enjoy the rest of my Birthday (Joke! This was scheduled).

  1. When I don't want a lot of makeup going on I usually go for concealer, eyeliner and mascara! That Korres lip butter is so gorgeous! Definitely a must for this season! :) xx
