Loving, Hating, Trying & Craving;

Hello Lovelies;

'Loving, Hating, Trying & Craving' used to be a post that I did back in '12 on my first blog. I looked at it last week and thought 'why didn't I carry it onto Atopsyturvyblog?' So, here it is for you all - a little insight into certain products.

So, what am I loving at the moment? The Dior Star Foundation - This is a new edition to my foundations, but since buying it I've been wearing it basically every day. I was in the market for a new 'higher end' foundation and this ticked all the boxes. It is indeed a sweet love for me. I've done a 'first impressions' post, which may be up before this is posted, if it is, I shall link it 'here' and if not, keep an eye out for it. This isn't the most friendly foundation for us drier skin girls, but my skin has been doing pretty well so this hasn't been a problem - on drier skin days I go for my Skinfood Red Bean BB Cream which I've been adoring also.

Now, I'm not one for 'hating' which is why I don't do disappointing products posts, but I'm not really loving the Bobbi Brown Corrector - I find it's too heavy under concealer and you need concealer over the top as the shade alone isn't a natural skin tone shade. I had high hopes for this. I bought it a year ago, sold it on and repurchased it last month hoping that I didn't use it correctly, or somehow I'd magically like it, but no such luck! I honestly don't think it actually helps that much. I do have dark under eyes that certainly need correcting but this is a bit too heavy for me.

I am currently trying the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream (original). I've tried the intensive body treatment and I adore it! It's a very moisturising body cream but it's matte. This is very different as it has a vasaline texture and shiny finish - So far it's been great at getting rid of the dryness of my eyelids, but for the rest of my face no such luck! I'm going to keep testing it, as skincare takes time to see what difference it can actually make. If it does my skin any good I'm happy putting up with the texture.

Craving - Well, I've been craving this for awhile. The YSL Touche Eclat Foundation is something I owned before. I bought it hastely during the Feel Unique sale, and didn't get the correct shade. I am very tempted to go get a colour match, try the sample and see if I should get the fuller size. The finish is so beautiful and I do love dewy, glowing skin. With Christmas coming soon I may purchase this in the sale in the correct shade xD

What have you been loving, hating trying and craving?
Do you love what I hate, and hate what I love?
Would you like me to keeping featuring these posts?

  1. Love this idea! I have always hated the Bobbi Brown concealer.. I don't really know how to use it, that sounds silly but I usually use my fingers to do my concealer and with this product you defo cant use fingers!

  2. I hate the Bobbi Brown corrector as well! I've tried using it so many different ways now but I just cant make it look anything other than false and cakey. I never tend to write negative posts or hate any product but I just couldn't find anything to like about it either x
